Get Involved

Get involved and help us improve the local fish and wildlife habitat of the Scappoose Bay Watershed. Be it volunteering at our Native Plant Nursery or one of our current projects, providing a donation, or buying plants at our two public Native Plant Sales, we’d love to hear from you.

At the Nursery

Volunteer work parties are every Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Activities include helping with plant care, collecting local seeds and cuttings, propagating plants, working at local events and supporting our customers at plant sales.

On-Site Projects

Help at local restoration projects. Volunteer opportunities vary by project. Check the events calendar for other on-site project opportunities or join our mailing list to be the first to find out about local events and workshops.

Our mission is to promote and support a healthy watershed through projects that protect and restore native fish, wildlife, and plants, and by working with the community to educate and encourage participation in enhancing and enjoying their natural surroundings.

Formed in 1997, we are a 501(c)(3), non-profit, non-regulatory organization whose diverse group of dedicated volunteers share a common concern for our quality of life, our natural resources, and our community.

We employ a small staff, assisted by qualified contractors, volunteers with professional expertise, and natural resource agencies. The Council is a source of information about the watershed for residents, visitors, local groups and partners.
