It’s cold and we are all feeling a little shut in. Noah, Isabel, and I yearn to be outside and in the forest. We live in the Pacific Northwest and rain shouldn’t stop us, but many times in the winter it does. Today wasn’t one of those days. The world tried to work against us… Noah forgot his jacket, I forgot the water, Will had a meeting, but nothing was going to stop us from getting out and revising the diary of our dreary wet life.
We decided to try the 4T trail in Portland. We started the trail at the Zoo, hike up to Council Crest Hill on a well maintained trail, which I had never heard of, made our way to the OHSU tram, and then down to the streetcar. The street trolley drove us to the train which we rode back to our starting location.
