Eagle Creek Campground

Round-Trip Distance: 3.5 mile, plus a 11 miles Bike/Hike to Cascade Locks

This was the last camping trip of the season. Will had to stay home and work, so I took the kids to Eagle Creek Campground in the gorge. Noah came down with a fever on the trip, but overall it was a great time. It was above the trains, so not so much train noise either.

We hiked one of our most strenuous hikes yet – Buck Point. It was the summit of this rocky cliff, probably a little more dangerous that I had anticipated. There were high winds that practically blew us over.

The next day we bike/hiked into Cascade Locks for ice cream. Did I mention my kids astound me with their endurance and stamina almost daily!

One the way back we stopped at one of my favorite hikes, Wahclella Falls, that is a mile in and a mile out (included in the round-trip distance above).
